"Dancing Before A Holy God"

Dancing Before A Holy God

Bible Verse:
“ Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be Thou my helper.” Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness; that my soul may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to Thee forever. Ps 30:1012

My thought for today is the daily blessings of God should be making dancers out of us, but all too often we are burdened to the point that we can’t move. David found the pure joy of live was not in new possessions, or kingdoms conquered, but rather in the love of God. He was not going to allow the challenges of life to rob him of the joy, comfort and peace that he had while in the presence of God.

Life at times can be a real drag on our emotions, if we let it. Fear of the future can cripple, when we place our hope in the hands of man. Our legs cannot dance when our mind is focused on the things of this earth rather than the things of God.

God wants us to dance. He wants us to enjoy life. Though trials and tribulations may place obstacles in our paths they should not be able to stymie our ability to dance before a Holy God.

There is nothing more satisfying than to make a joyful noise unto God, to walk with a bounce in our step and the sweet, sweet pleasures of knowing our loving Heavenly Father. There is nothing on earth that can compare to Him.

There is nothing that I want more than to dance before my God. Though I can’t sing or dance from a human perspective, my feet glide and my voice resounds in praise as my relationship with God takes over my thoughts.

There is always way too much to do. There will always be challenges of many kinds. Our focus needs to move beyond the here and now to the Lord the Giver of Life, because it is for Him that we dance in an attitude of gratitude for who He is.

Have you danced lately before your God? Have you sung a love song to the Lord lately? Is your heart filled with the love of God and the knowledge of His love for you? When you focus on God you cannot help but sing and dance for He is worthy of our praise. Let go! Sing and dance you will feel better for it.
