"Fear Not For I Am With You"

Fear Not For I Am With You

Bible Verse:
Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident. Ps 27:3

My thought for today is just how real are the fears that we have in our lives that seem to cripple us and rob us of our joy. Much of the fear in life when it comes to full bloom is a mirage. How many times have you worried for nothing? I know in my own life that when I get on the other side of fear I realize that what concerned me the most never came about the way I envisioned it.

Christ told us not to worry that He would always be with us and when we focus on Him the circumstances of life do not have the grip or impact that they do without Him. When Jesus is our focus fear flees, because we find peace and joy in the presents of God. His comfort clams the greatest fears.

David knew that thought his enemies, who wanted to kill him, were camping all around him and that they would soon attack, this was still not a time to be afraid. God was with David and when God is with you we need not be afraid.

Trials and tribulation will come. They are real. We will lose loved ones, we will suffer setbacks, there will be times when we will be at our wits end with situations that are out of our control. These are still times that need not be the focus of our attention. We need to turn to Christ who will provide us with the strength to see us through.

Situations may not end up the way we might have planned them, but they will always end up according the will of God and that we can take comfort in. God sees the beginning from the end, we only see and event in the middle. We need to let go of the circumstances and cling to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

When we place our trust in God and surrender moment by moment He will see to it that we find peace. In Christ there is no fear.

Are you anxious about something that is outside of your control? Has something in life capture all of your attention and now you are anxious about the future? Let go! Give your worries to God. Give your plans to God and trust that what He does with them will be better than any plan you might have. In Jesus we can find the strength to endure. Apart from Him is a life of anxiety and fear.
