"Walking With the Confidence of Angels"

Walking With the Confidence of Angels

Bible Verse:
Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity; and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. Examine me, O LORD, and try me; Test my mind and my heart. For Thy loving kindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Thy truth. Ps 26:1-3

My thought for today is the confidence in our step and the focus of our actions is dependent upon the understanding of our faith. When we know where we are going we walk with confidence. Knowing how to do something gives us poise to operate even under intense pressure. Fear on the other hand often causes us to doubt or stumble into the unknown of the future.

The author of the Book to the Hebrews gives us a great definition of what faith real is. We Read, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” David in today’s scripture passage demonstrated great faith when he called upon God to test his heart and mind to see if there was any wickedness linger there.

I am not sure if we would have that same confidence to ask God to search the intentions of our heart and mind, because we have not humbled ourselves before our God and confessed the sins that He already knows have been committed against Him.

We can have the confidence of David if we will confess our sins and humbly walk with our God. He desires that we not walk in fear and sorrow, though world is filled with uncertainty, illness and even death. We are never alone when we place our trust in God. He is always with us and will never forsake us.

We can walk by faith and not by sight, but in order to do so we have to let go and let God rule in our lives. When this is done we can walk with the confidence of angels who walk with God.

Where are you in relationship with God? Do you know Him? Have you placed your trust in Him? Have you confessed your sin and humbled yourself in His presence? God is waiting upon our response. He will bless those whose integrity is know in heaven and witnessed here on earth. We can be a people of God if we choose wisely who we will serve. Surrender is our choice. Let’s be wise and call today upon the name of Jesus and find the confidence that David spoke about in today’s writings.
