Freed By The Blood of The Lamb

Bible Verse:
Remember, O LORD, Thy compassion and Thy loving kindnesses, for they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Thy loving kindness remember Thou me, For Thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.

My thought for today is the fact that we are loved by God who desires all to come to a saving knowledge of His limitless grace. We do not deserve to be forgiven, but by grace all who seek forgiveness through Jesus His Son are forgiven. David knew that He was a sinner when he penned today’s scripture passage. He knew that God loved him in spite of his transgressions. David humbled himself before a Holy God and asked for forgiveness.

Have we taken time to seek the face of God as David did? Have we humbly submitted our lives into God’s care, trusting Him for His saving grace? We have a decision to make. We can choose to humble ourselves and seek God’s grace or we can continue to walk in a way the seals us from His love for eternity. The choice is now.

God wants to embrace us, but first we need to recognize that we are not self-sufficient. We need the saving grace of Jesus His Son who suffered, died and was raised from the dead. We have an Advocate loves us unconditionally. There is nothing that we can do which would put an end to God loving us except for our stubbornness to reject His embrace.

Take a moment and ask God to show you the impurities in your life, the sins of commission or the sins of omission that have been barriers to His love. He wants us to be set free to enjoy His embrace, but we can’t as long as we are unwilling to confess the anger, lust, pride or prejudice that is present in our lives.

Where are you right now in relationship to God? Do you know your eternal destiny, if not, why not? God has called us into close and personal relationship with Jesus His Son. We can enjoy life to the fullest and find hope in the trials and tribulations of life in right relationship with Him. No other means, mode or method will work to satisfy the God sized hole in our lives. Let go and embrace God. He is waiting for your decision.
