"Where Does God Fit In Your Life"

Where Does God Fit In Your Life

Bible Verse:
For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, The God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places. He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. Thou hast also given me the shield of Thy salvation, and Thy right hand upholds me; And Thy gentleness makes me great. Thou dost enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped. Ps 18:31-36

My thought for today is our description of God may be significantly different than David’s description captured in today’s scripture passage. The one thing that we all have in common is our view of God impacts every aspect of the way we live, just like it did David several thousand years ago.

David placed his complete trust in God. God was his source of strength the One in whom he placed his trust. He turned to God in difficult times, leaning on God to see him through all circumstances. David praised in good times and bad, nothing was going to separate him from his first love.

What would be your psalm of praise to God? Would your psalm show your complete reliance on God? Is God the source of all of your strength? Have you placed your complete trust in Him in good times as well as bad? Do you see Jesus as your savior and desire to serve Him by loving God and your neighbor as yourself?

Whether we know it or not our lives are writing a psalm as we live and breath. Our God is either mocked or praised. People either see our love for God and our neighbor or they don’t. God is our source of strength or He is not. There are no tweeners in life.

Like the church of Laodicea described in Revelation we can be either hot or cold for God. When we are lukewarm He has no use for us. We need to be purposeful in the way in which we live.

After all we have been created by God and called according to His purpose. There can be no excuses. God is either our first love or He is not. Take a good hard look at your own life and decide if changes need to be made. If today is a course correction day make the change to the glory of God and He will lift you up.
