"Blameless"
Blameless
Bible Verse: For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all His ordinances were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me. I was also blameless with Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. Ps 18:21-23
My thought for today is the evidence that we might be able to show that we are blameless before our God. It might be a very short court trail for me because often time I am afraid that there is no evidence that I have lived the Word of God as He has intended.
I think when we choose to keep short accounts, keep focused on doing God’s will for our lives and not our own, keep loving our neighbor as ourselves then our lives can serve as witnessed to the ordnances of God. Surrender is not complicated, but at the same time is not easy. Thought we may still fall short of the glory of God as David did in his life he never lost focus to work hard at living out the Word of God.
He did not take revenge upon His enemies. He prayed often, praised unceasingly and worshipped with all of His heart. As a result he was found to be a man after God’s own heart. Being a sinner like you and I He turned often to God to seek His forgiveness and then chose to repent from his sin.
We have the same choice to make in our own lives. God is call us through His Word to be a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation clearly demonstrated by our love for Jesus and each other.
We need to look at the way in which we have lived in the sight of God. Nothing escapes Him. He sees everything and yet wants us to turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart. His call in our lives is simple love me enough to do what I have done. Jesus surrender all for the will of the Father. Jesus loved unconditionally those who betrayed Him, denied Him and abandoned Him in His hour of need. We should do nothing less!
Are you blameless before God? Have you lived out God’s Word in your life? What changes do you plan to make to draw closer to God? Make a plan to become all that God intended you to be. God stands at the doorway of your heart and has knocked. It is up to you and I to invite Him in and live in a manner worthy of His call in our lives.
