Praising God With Humility Out of Love
Bible Verse: The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Ps 14:1-3
My thought for today is the incredible faith that it takes to believe that there is no God and that life has not been ordered and controlled by Him. I am often amazed at the arrogance of mankind. We look at the ingenuity of man to create and marvel at its intricacies and yet a single blade of grass, a lower or rising sun we ignore.
The universe is ordered. Chaos and chance do not rule over it, because if that wee so I would have to wonder if the sun would rise tomorrow or set tonight. Nothing in all of nature is chaos driven. The growing of cells within each living entity shows the handiwork of a Master craftsman who with incredible for sight so the need and created the means to regenerate, to grow. That same Master craftsman made plans for decay and death.
To believe that there is not divine creator takes much more faith than it does to taste and see the goodness of God. Take time, make time today to stop and marvel at what God has done in the world in which you live. Look closely at the handiwork of God.
When you are done inspecting the flower or a blade of grass, or the clouds in the sky whisper a prayer of thanksgiving that God we all you to remember Him and to praise Him for what He has already done.
Today is Maundy Thursday, a day of remembrance of Christ’s Last Supper with His disciples. It is a day of order, a day that you and I have been called to celebrate and to prepare for Good Friday, where from eternity past until today, God had planned to send His Son to suffer and die for our sins. It was in His plan and for that we can be eternally grateful.
Have you humbled yourself before God? Are you willing to submit to the fact that He has plan for you and that it is unfolding in the reading of this message? Praise Him for His call in your life. Sing to Him a song of worship, for He is worthy of our praise. It is easier to believe than to doubt this divine providence.
