"Saved By Grace"

Saved By Grace

Bible Verse:
Be gracious to me, O LORD; Behold my affliction from those who hate me, Thou who dost lift me up from the gates of death; Ps 9:14

My thought for today is the attitude we have as we are being lifted up by the grace of our Holy God. I read today’s scripture and then passed it over to see if there was something more meaningful for me to write about this morning. As I continued reading and meditating on the Words of God my eyes wondered back and my thoughts captures by the treasure found in this verse.

After all I had ignored as I often do the incredible grace of God. I often take for granted that I have been saved by grace, have been grafted into the family of God. My attentions are often drawn to contemplate and pray for my current needs rather than humbling thanking my God for what He has already done to richly bless me in the heavenly realm.

We are saved by grace. It is not something we can earn, but rather receive with a humble and gracious heart. God pours out His love on all the world, but only those who are attentive to His call of holiness receive His blessings and the power of His forgiving touch.

We are all sinners saved by grace. This is something to cheer about, something to celebrate. We need to be on our knees often in prayer and thanksgiving to a Holy God who desires to have relationships with us.

Now would be a good time for each of us to search our own heart and determine our attitude of gratitude for the saving grace of God. We may be in need and want and those are important, but more important than anything is the fact that Christ has gone before us to prepare a place for us to spend all eternity with Him.

Nothing that I want or desire can be compare to the blessings that I have already received. I have been blessed and for this I am eternally grateful. I am so glad that God’s Spirit did not let me pass on today’s scripture, because it has given me an opportunity to thank God for the amazing things that He has already done to secure my present and future.

Do you have a grateful heart? Are you celebrating the grace filled gift that God has already blessed you with? Life is fast and from time to time we need to stop and celebrate and this is what needs to be done today. Therefore celebrate that you have been saved by grace.
