"Given A Second Chance To Change"

Given A Second Chance To Change

Bible Verse:
The LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, and He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. Ps 9:7-8

My thought for today is the fact, though we do not want to hear about it, judgment is coming. One day all will stand before Almighty God and give an account of every thought that we have had, every word spoke, every action taken as well as every action that we allowed to pass us by. God has sees everything in our lives, nothing is hidden from Him.

Few messages are given on the thought that we are held accountable for the lives that we have lived. Today’s scripture passage is one that I could have passed upon. I could have easily skipped over these words to go on to show more of God’s love, but God’s love is seen in these verses If we want to take the time to ponder His message for us today.

Though the day of reckoning may be near or a long time off you and I still can make a difference with the time that e have left. We cannot undo the past, but we can impact our future. We can choose to be obedient to god’s call in our lives. We can be faithful, loving God with all our heart, mind, and strength and our neighbors as ourselves.

Life is about choices and what we will say at the judgment seat of God can be impacted by the way in which we choose to live out the reminder of our lives. We need to live as redeemed sinners who have recognized and have been impacted by the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Our lives need to be set a part from a world that has no excuse.

We need to careful examine how we are living our lives. If there is unforgiveness we need to choose seek forgiveness. If there is anger we need to seek peace. If there is any sin we need to confess and be willing to turn from it toward the One who has set us free. We can change the future, but it begins with the choices of the present. Therefore let’s purposefully make good choices today!

Do you see love in judgment? Are you making the right choices to stand before the throne of a Holy God and respond to the decisions that you have mad? God loves us so much that He has given us another chance. Today is the beginning of the rest of your life and therefore we need to choose wisely how we will live.
